YEP we are taking a little bit of a break on the nuclear physics front right now for PERSONAL REASONS. I do headcanon that he'd already put some thought into how to adapt the actuator technology for use with prosthetic limb replacements, he just never had the chance to pursue it in earnest, so this works out great!
