[ Steve calls out her name, and the worried repeating in her mind of, "find Steve, get somewhere safe, make a plan, then what?" flies right out the window, and the tension in her shoulders drops as she falls into an easy smile. She jogs over and opens the trunk door of the SUV to toss her stuff inside, before heading around to the passenger side, steps light now that she's not alone.
It's almost like things are normal, and Steve's giving her a ride to work or to school. Only, the streets are much busier, and the car is much bigger, and she's way more happy to see him than normal. ]
