David Alleyne/Prodigy | Marvel-616 (MoM CRAU) | OTA

A. Stranger Than Fiction
For all the weird shit that David had been through, whether it was back home or in the myriad dimensions he'd helped chase the Patrinot through or mutant shit or even the ImPort world, never had he hever before seen a giant cybernetic dragon. Part of him wondered if the technopathy he'd acquired in that last world would be able to control the dragon, but there was no way he was going to get close enough to touch it.

Though as the words rained down there was one thing David could do. He tapped into another power he'd picked up in that last world and threw his hands over his head, yellow-gold psionic energy appearing in a shield over his head as the word 'embargo' plummeted down toward him. The word shattered over his head, held back by his shield, in a glitter of silver sparks as David watched someone else struck by a word and disappear.

"Get for cover!" he shouted as loudly as he could before flexing the shield around himself into a loose armor to shield him from the slash of a glowing saber from some techno pirate.

"You know what, I think I'd prefer the usual stuff like alien invasions, thanks."

B. Aftermath
Waiting. Waiting sucks. Of course, he's used to these sorts of things at this point. The waiting. The being watched. This was just usual, and David shrugged it off when this Atomight gave his little run down. Clearly they've got people with foresight gifts, and when their predictions failed things were weird.

"Coffee," he requested as he mvoed to one of the tables covered with food, and sure enough, a large carafe of something pungent formed on the table.

"Cushy, for a prison," David noted as he poured himself a cup. "Anyone else want one?"

C. Not In Kansas Anymore
Knowledge is power. That was, inherently, what David operated on back home. His power was in the end knowledge and skills, and the things he'd gained from the last world he was in only furthered that sort of way to approach the world. So, given freedom to wander, David had immediately gone to the shopping center, purchased a phone, and now he immediately sat in a food court, looking out of place with his yellow lens sunglasses, sitting cross legged on a chair, hand covering a cell phone on the table.

For all that he wasn't looking at the phone, his eyes weren't really focusing on anything else around him. Which would make him really easy to sneak up on. And one slipping too close and rousing his attention would find David yelping as proximity registered and his defenses came up, in the form of golden-yellow light in his hand shaking into a knife that he looked ready to defend himself with.

And then he took a second look and the knife winked out of existence.

"Sorry. Just, uh, jumpy. Didn't mean to freak out like that."
