[Spontaneously combusting doesn't kill the victim, and their flames can't be put out through normal means. The Fire Force exists for public safety, but also to put the victims out of their misery.

Maki keeps pace with him easily enough. Shes much shorter than him, but underneath all that firefighting gear she has a fair bit of muscle. ]
