If Kaladin had known what cats were, the creature would still look odd. Too many eyes, no fur, the wrong color. But from his perspective, the symbiote probably just looks like some animal someone had bred over generations until there was no shell anywhere to be seen, and even then, it would be something to question as to why anyone would be so foolish.

Then Sleeper tilts their head to look at the strange, translucent woman, an ear flicking in amusement.

"I am Sleeper. Came to the city to visit a friend or two, and check out the new arrivals. You two have that look like you're fresh off the bus."
