Alice Yotsuba | Dokidoki! Precure

[A | one mind, no plan]
-she's falling. Not even the usual, boring kind of falling, where something's broken out the floor she was standing on two seconds prior, but the exciting kind of falling, where something strange is happening. Alice's first instinct is to transform, right herself, and address the problem, but the ribbons of light in the sky dissuade her almost immediately, since someone else has powers and she needs to verify the situation first. So instead she spends more time working to right herself in human form, long dress billowing in the whipping wind, before she's snagged and pulled to safety. Alice opens her mouth to start asking questions-

Then the video plays, and Alice just blinks. Once, twice, thrice. Then the screaming starts, and she snaps into immediate awareness. Without knowing where she is or who might be watching, her powers are out, but she can help in other ways. Bodily dragging people and objects is probably the most obvious way, as she helps to move people out of the hospital and barricade doors, but as things get rougher, she has a visibly more desperate expression. It's not that she can't keep up, but that there are simply too many places she needs to be. Is she willing to take the risk...?

Other passing heroes or equivalent may be hailed for assistance by a teenage girl that looks like she needs more hands and is... not entirely unaccustomed to getting her hands dirty, but apparently not quite used to doing such in this manner. Whatever that means. And if she doesn't think anyone is watching, instead she'll whisper, uh, down to her handbag? "Lance? If you are up for it, I believe I need your assistance..." She doesn't look entirely worried, just tense, wary, eyes open for anything that might come her way.

[B | the diadem]
Some time later, it's a boneless Alice that sinks into a mercifully comfortable chair in the Diadem's lobby. She'll make it up to her room in a minute, she just needs to collect herself. It's been a wild day. It would be better if her friends were here, but she'll deal. There's a small, yellow bear plushie resting atop her head, lying between her hair buns, which would be cute and innocuous if said plushie didn't cling to her when she shifted. Her eyes drift closed for a moment, but she doesn't quite seem to actually take a nap. Just... feeling the world around her, and listening to the traffic in the hotel. Maybe she can learn something from all the people milling around.

Later that day, she's in the shopping district working through her shopping list. She can be seen moving through the boutiques and making assorted purchases, all slung effortlessly in one hand and under one arm, although as the afternoon goes on her posture sloooowly starts to list to one side, Lance eventually noticing before he rolls right off her head and Alice correcting herself with a quiet apology and a small smile. Meanwhile her free hand holds her smartphone; Alice is rapidly gaining familiarity with it, keeping track of what she's already bought and how much she's spent. Even if it's not her money, there's no sense in being wasteful. Tap, tap, taptaptap... "The growth of technology in this world is immense," she breathes quietly. "There are many things I could learn from this. I wonder what else I can find...?" Which is about when Alice begins to window shop a little more. If she is spending some else's money, well... it's research, right? Her arms are starting to get a little full, though, and she's standing in front of a video game store...

After a trip back to the hotel to drop off bags, she returns to the mall and heads to the toy store, where she and Lance are looking at what appears to be doll furniture... wait, no, it's actually the right size for Lance, so she might just be furniture shopping, but not for herself. She might be making the poor young person manning the counter a little uncomfortable, though. "Is there a version of this made with a better material? I don't believe this will stand up to more than a few weeks of use." It doesn't seem like anyone's made the connection to the plushie laying between Alice's hair buns, not wanting to get in the way. She also spends a minute or two outside a certain technology store, peering through the glass at the tablets and trying not to laugh in an extremely unladylike manner. She peers up at the logo above the glass, then back down to the gadgets, then up to the logo again. Then she shrugs, and walks in. Some minutes later she's back out the door with a new iPad, one of her spare hair clips latched around the handle because she can't let things go. "Now, I should find somewhere to do food shopping. I would prefer not to depend on hotel food if I can help it." There's a wistful note in her voice as she muses though; it still won't compare to eating at Mana's home. Or her own, but that's a special case.

((Okay, actually planning to app this month! I've got an idea how I want things to work, so it should be smooth sailing from here. Probably. I've reprised some of Alice's prompts from last month, so those are open again; if you were tagging her last month I'll be happy to pick those back up too. If you want to run something I didn't prompt out, grab me at [plurk.com profile] eternities and we'll figure something out! I'm pretty easygoing with this stuff, I'm just happy to be back in the hobby.))
