[Leaving was definitely a good idea, and he nods in agreement. But when Cass pulls the wad of cash out he looks slightly confused until she asks if he still wants the clothes he was trying on.]
You don't need to do that. I have a card they gave me for paying for supplies.
[They probably weren't expecting property damage to be added to the charges though. Didn't they mention charges would be monitored? Here's hoping they wouldn't pull the card before he got everything he'd deemed essential.
Maybe just letting her pay would avoid that, but he was already somewhat reluctantly getting financial help from one source, he didn't like the idea of accepting more from someone else.
Briefly ducking into the nearest changing room, he grabbed for his card and spandex, stopping when he remembered the glass still in his hand. Deciding the issue was no longer worth being discreet over he vibrated the molecules of his hand and lets the glass fall out of it. Hopefully, Cass wouldn't see but if she did, she did. It would be obvious enough from the wadded-up spandex that he was likely a meta.
And it wasn't as if he had an identity worth keeping secret.
Turning back to Cass he showed the card to prove his point.]
