Of course, as soon as they make a deal, more infected civs and more monsters pour into the area. There's got to be a way to quarantine freed civs, keep them from being reinfected so this doesn't keep happening, but how? Where would they start?

He pushes the questions aside almost immediately, instead focusing on the largest abominid as it lumbers towards them. Logistics are for desk jockeys and people who aren't in the middle of combat; for now, he's got a job to do. The thing is too big to get a good angle for a shot while it stands; instead, he dives towards it and catches one of its limbs as he speeds by, turning hard and using that momentum - and augmented speed and strength - to hurl it into another abominid, which in turn collapses into the one behind it, leaving a pile of monsters on the ground. He pulls back up sharply, getting himself back out of arms' reach, and flexes a palm towards the monster pile. Glowing red concentric circles layer over each other in front of his palm - an alchemical arrangement he's used thousands of times - and a beam of red energy lances out of the center, spearing through the downed monsters. With any luck, that'll keep them down - if he has to hit heavier than that, they're going to be in trouble.

You're at risk for aura poisoning-

He shakes off the reminder - what had that been, only an hour ago? - and glances back to see mechanical legs removing chips from civs and setting them back down. The civs look shaken, but they get to their feet quickly enough afterwards. Evidently Huvrye's not the only one keeping up his end of the bargain. "Is there a safe space for them to go?" Does this city have measures for whatever this is, or is it chaos all the way down?
