Frances Starling tries to help unaffiliated metas but her resources aren't as extensive as the guilds'. Last month politicians started calling for her to join or face punishment. She gave a pretty public refusal. She might be having more problems now but it could be worth trying to talk to her.

Other than her, we're virtually on our own, especially after the two-month grace period. There's plenty of us who don't trust the guilds and won't join. We don't have the same resources than if we had a BatCave again but we've been making due.

Last I heard Kon hasn't joined a guild either. The Alliance feels like a Justice League that cares too much about PR and recruiting.
