[Jason relates to that question probably more than Thad realizes. He immediately thinks about Bruce and all the fights they had. Bruce just wanted Jason to follow his rules with no room for comprise and refused to understand where Jason was coming from.

Then there's what Bart told Jason once about Thad. Thad was essentially raised to be someone's tool.

It depends on what it is and what the reason is for being so controlling but I probably would do it. If you do it, it's a sign that you're not interested in always following his orders. You're showing you have your own thoughts and feelings, not just being a mirror to someone.
