No, it does not. As usual we do leave this up to player interperation so if it would have made sense for an AU version of the non-humanoid character to gain a human form, we are okay with allowing that.

However, the game's setting is full of aliens / robots / science experiments / demons / etc and so they would remain largely unchanged in the setting. Characters who hail from outer space may have just crash-landed on Earth, or may have been born to parents who were originally space-farers.
