It's impossible not to hear the announcement, especially since Will's close by. (If he were more paranoid-- or understood reality TV better-- he'd suspect the proximity of their arrival locations was intentional.)
Will runs in the direction of the voice as thoughts swirl in his head. Why would his dad be here? What did the voice mean by 'former god'? He definitely remembers Apollo getting his divinity back!
He sees the unmistakable (but worryingly weak) glow and darts into the clearing.

"A FAMILY REUNION, FOLKS! DOESN'T IT WARM YOUR HEART?" his own drone declares from behind him.
